When I scan a barcode, it says 'Record Not Found'.
When you scan a barcode when using RecFind, you receive a message stating 'Record Not Found'.
Throughout the RecFind product you can scan a barcode instead of entering the file, document or box number.
In certain cases RecFind may be not be aware of you scanning the barcode and instead treats the number as a file, document or box number. Instead of trying to find a record with the corresponding barcode number, it attempts to find a file, document or box with a number matching the barcode number.
This is most likely to occur due to incorrect barcode reader configuration (i.e. there is no post-amble configured).
You may need to reconfigure your barcode reader. Please refer to FAQ: Fixed Barcode Reader Configuration for configuration requirements.
