Error: Remotesoft Protector Error - Failed to determine CLR version

Symptom

While running RecFind (inc Button) v2.4 or earlier on a Windows XP workstation, the following error may error:

Cause

Changes introduced in recent Windows XP service packs have introduced this error message.

Solution

To resolve this issue a new r6aux.dll library needs to be placed on your system.

For x86 / 32bit systems extract the downloaded file to %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32 (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file).

For x64 / 64bit systems extract the downloaded file to %WINDIR%\SysWOW64 (overwriting the existing r6aux.dll file).
