9. When I try to run RecFind I get 'sub or function not defined' error message on the screen.

Symptom
Starting RecFind, clicking on a module or running a conversion program a 'sub or function not defined' message appears.

Cause
The RecFind application is making a function call in a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file which does not match or returns a result not expected by RecFind. The main cause of this error is the 'vbrun300.dll'. There are many versions of this file.

Solution
Check for the existence of 'vbrun300.dll' on your workstation. If another copy of the file exists in a location other than your RecFind application directory usually in the c:\windows or c:\windows\system directories, rename the file and copy the 'vbrun300.dll' file from the RecFind application directory into the locations of the previously located files. Restart your computer.
