Fixed Barcode Readers

Knowledgeone Corporation offer three different types of readers:

Datalogic Touch Readers, which has to make contact with the barcode (supports up to 65mm or 90mm wide barcodes).
Datalogic Heron Readers, which can read the barcode from a distance up to 20cm (8").
Datalogic Gryphon Series, which can read the barcode from a distance up to 30cm (12") and is cordless.

Datalogic Touch Readers

The Touch 65/90™ Pro CCD contact readers represent the ideal product whenever a cost-effective solution is required, without compromising reading performance and product quality.

The Touch 65/90™ Pro provide a complete "all in one" multi-interface solution, including RS232, USB, Wedge and Pen emulation.

A scan rate of 256 scans/sec guarantees outstanding performance in terms of reading promptness especially on poorly printed or damaged codes where several decoding attempts may be required.

Datalogic Heron Readers

The Heron™ reader is based on the “Instinctive Reading Distance” concept (from near contact to over 20 cm), includes the “green spot” (Datalogic patent application), which provides “good reading” feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking.

The stand included in the package allows the reader to be used in hands-free mode. If placed correctly in the stand, the reader beeps and automatically switches to hands-free mode.

The green spot remains on to show the operator where to position the code under the Heron™ for quicker and intuitive reading. Heron™ also provides full connectivity: three models are available with different interface sets.

Datalogic Gryphon Series

The Gryphon™ series, takes the “Instinctive Reading Distance” concept one step further; optimized optics allow reading of the most popular standard codes with superior depths of field from near contact to over 30 cm. The "green spot", (Datalogic patent application) produced by the Gryphon™ provides "good read" feedback directly on the code, where the user usually tends to be looking.

In addition, the Gryphon™ readers are now ready to read Reduced Space Symbology (RSS), an emerging symbology that can be printed on a smaller label and meet emerging market needs for a greater amount of data on a symbol.
