HSSM ^K1 High Speed Scanning Module - A powerful scanning tool for high speed and off-line scanning needs

It also connects to Knowledgeone ^K1 and populates Knowledgeone ^K1 tables with the images and metadata it collects.

The HSSM ^K1 is also able to search through the free text of all images from within the Knowledgeone ^K1 data repository using third party OCR software.

The HSSM ^K1 is made up of three modules:

1. DocScan is the product that drives the scanner, reads the barcode on the first page of the documents and then organizes the scanned pages into multi-page TIFF and PDF files for processing by Scan. DocScan v3.0 for Knowledgeone is a .NET application with significantly improved functionality and performance.
2. DocScan 3.0 is able to scan color and to merge and split scanned images, OCR and PDF all of your documents.
3. Scan - allows you to scan existing file directories (previously captured by either DocScan or some other system) and automatically capture, index and store various file types including TIFF, JPEG, PDF etc into Knowledgeone.

In summary, the HSSM ^K1 allows you to:

• Handle high volumes of scanning with minimal operator intervention.
• Scan, capture, OCR and PDF documents using the DocScan utility.
• Scan both color and monochrome documents.
• Merge and split scanned images.
• Automatically add and classify the image and OCRed text file to the Knowledgeone relational database.
• Scan existing directories of files (previously captured by DocScan or any other system) and automatically capture, index and store various file types including TIFF, JPEG, PDF etc.

 HSSM ^K1 is an optional extension to Knowledgeone
