Mini-API ^K1 Create links from an existing application to any object stored within K1's data repository

Any 'object' means any file folder profile, any document profile, any box profile and any electronic object or image stored in Knowledgeone ^K1. It allows other applications to talk directly to Knowledgeone ^K1 and request Knowledgeone ^K1 to expose (i.e., display for viewing in the browser window) any object in Knowledgeone ^K1.

It is a way to 'image-enable' any other application using Knowledgeone ^K1 to capture and store all required electronic documents and images. It is also a way to access and view the Metadata of physical documents/containers such as paper, file folders and archive boxes where that Metadata is stored in Knowledgeone ^K1.

Software applications that you can integrate to Knowledgeone ^K1 using the Mini-API ^K1:

In summary, the Mini-API ^K1 allows you to:

• Integrate other applications to Knowledgeone ^K1 quickly and at a low cost.

• Utilize Knowledgeone's sophisticated features with other applications. Knowledgeone ^K1 can capture, store and manage electronic objects and images. Knowledgeone ^K1 can also handle such tasks such as version control, viewing, printing, check-in, check-out etc. Most other applications do not have these facilities (EDM and imaging) but many have a need to use them. For example, your organization may have many applications that keep 'records' (Metadata) about things such as property records, personnel, clients, etc. Many of these applications would like to be able to 'link' to electronic objects or images that better describe their records and that add value to the application. They now have a really easy way to do that by storing the objects and images in Knowledgeone ^K1 and linking to them via the Mini-API table.

• Maintain objects and images in an inviolate state within Knowledgeone ^K1 so they cannot be altered or deleted.
• Store and Manage an infinite amount of objects and images in the Knowledgeone ^K1 database.
• Save money on roll out and workstation maintenance costs as there is nothing to install or maintain on the user’s workstation (other than a browser).
