The National Trust of Australia (WA) chooses RecFind 6 from the Knowledgeone Corporation as its Electronic Document & Records Management System (EDRMS)

North Sydney: Knowledgeone Corporation (K1Corp) today announced that its Electronic Document & Records Management System (EDRMS) has been chosen by the National Trust of Australia (WA). RecFind 6 will enable the Trust to comply with the requirements of the State Records Act and to provide integrated information management applications to enhance the Trust's key functional areas.

National Trust CEO Tom Perrigno said the new system was a first for the National Trust in Australia and it highlighted the growth of the not-for-profit sector as well as the need to manage this growth to the highest standards.

"This new document and records management system will bring valuable efficiencies to the Trust by streamlining our internal processes and supporting our work with communities and properties across the state," Mr. Perrigno said.

The National Trust of Australia (WA) works to raise knowledge, awareness, understanding and commitment to Western Australia's natural, Aboriginal and historic heritage. The Trust achieves this objective through the conservation and interpretation of heritage places it manages on behalf of the community and government of Western Australia and through its education and learning programs.

"The National Trust relies on the community to continue to conserve and interpret Western Australia's unique heritage and investment in this new system will provide important foundational support and compliance for those commitments," he said.

According  to National Trust's Project Manager Michael Evans, the Trust considered applications from K1Corp, OpenText, HP, Objective and Technologyone and selected K1Corp's RecFind 6 as the product that best met its business requirements.

"We were very impressed by RecFind 6's ability to implement multiple information management applications and meet the Trust's diverse business requirements within the one integrated system," Mr. Evans said.

Knowledgeone Corporation's Sales & Marketing Director Tony Holland said he was excited about the upcoming implementation at the National Trust of Australia (WA).

"We are particularly looking forward to following the initial EDRMS implementation with a subsequent roll-out of business improvement to property management for the Trust which will allow the Trust's staff to interface and transact with the EDRMS whilst off-site via a mobile app client," he said.
